We support the local and regional education sector with museum-based STEM events for all key stages, plus a STEM outreach service that brings our heritage into your school.
Moving Air workshop
Inspired by Frank Whittle and his jet engine, pupils explore thrust through practical experiments using simple household objects. They build and test ideas, measure results and see the physics that puts aircraft in the sky.
Real engineering kit
Students get close to genuine test equipment, from strain gauges to engine components, and learn how engineers at Hucknall proved an engine was safe to fly.
