Hucknall Flight Test Museum is a non-profit registered charity (1175731). We’re dedicated to promoting interest in STEM subjects, with a particular focus on the physics of propulsion within a broader flight-related STEM programme. In supporting the wider education sector, we also aim to support our local and regional visitor economy.
Visiting and booking
- All visitor bookings are made on the basis of a discretionary donation to the HUFTM charity, which is run entirely by unpaid volunteers. We rely solely on public donations, so please take this into account when you book.
- We’re open to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday from 1 April to 31 October. We close in the winter, roughly 1 November to 1 April, to keep energy costs down. Dates may vary slightly with the weather; check our news and social media for updates.
- Occasionally we may not be able to admit you on the day you booked. If so, we’ll do our best to contact you in advance to rearrange.
- You may be asked to show proof of booking, such as your confirmation email.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- We reserve the right to refuse entry to any visitor.
- If you have limited mobility, need one or more carers or have any specific needs, please tell our visits co-ordinator when you book. We’ll do our best to help, and please let us know in advance if you need a disabled parking space.
- Apart from assistance dogs, no animals are allowed inside the buildings.
- Professional cameras, video recorders and any audio-visual recording are not permitted without prior written permission. Photography is not allowed inside the Wing Hangar. Taking or storing images of other visitors without their consent is not permitted.
- Smaller groups may be combined with other groups on the same visit so that a volunteer tour is viable for the charity.
